Monday::Tuesday

Monday night was our last High Table before graduation. The flourless chocolate cake was TO DIE FOR...seriously. During dinner Nichole and I found our shared passion for musicals and performed a stirring abridged rendition of Oklahoma. Bea has not seen it and, thanks to us, claims she never will. In fact, Nichole played "Dream Laurie" in a production...remember, the horribly modern (sorry Nic) 20 minute ballet in the middle...I always fast forward through that part.

After dinner we headed down to Deep Hall for drinks, darts and foosball. Oh yes, and a game of "I've never".

Never
play.

Tuesday (I am leaving out a tour of Lincoln's wine cellar, but will honor it with its own entry) we went to the Sheldonian Theatre to hear Mozart's Requiem and Vivaldi's Gloria performed. The Sheldonian was built in 1664-68 and designed by Christopher Wren, who also designed much of London's famous buildings after The Great Fire. A 22 piece orchestra and 8 voices performed the works beautifully. I remembered the Gloria alto part from years ago...do you Mom?
